Easter Nails

Hey guys…
Seeing as Easter is coming soon I thought I’d get a head start with some Easter nails =]
I could have done the chicks or bunny nails but I decided to stick with an Easter egg design. It reminds me of an Aztec design =\ but guess the pastel colors make it look more eastery..?

To achieve this look I decided to use the non water marble effect. I actually remembered to do a mini step by step tutorial =]

Step One:

Add a base coat. I used L.A Colors nail harderner as a base coat to keep my nails strong!

Step Two:

Get three colors of your choice and dab a good amount of polish on the nail. The thicker the nail polish the better as there won’t be any gaps. You can use a white base coat if you like to make the colors pop. I decided not to this time as these nail polishes are pretty thick.

Step Three:

Take the largest dotting tool you have and start dabbing the polish until the whole nail is covered. Make sure you blend in the 3 colors. It doesn’t have to be neat.

Add a clear top coat once it’s dried and you’re done! =]
Or you can add a pattern on top like I did.

Zebra Nails or Some sort of Animal Print

Hey guys…
In my last post I did a marble nail art. Well sort of marble nails. I’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos on this and they all involve water. I decided to try it without.
Although you don’t get the nice, pretty patterns that the water creates… It still come out with a pretty pattern =p

This time, I decided to use bold colors to see if they mixed well. And I think they do =]
I added a few lines which I intended for it to look like a tiger design but I think they look more like zebra…?

That’s the fun part of nail art. U create something different all the time =]

Flowers or Butterflies… I Think Flowers

Hey guys…
I’ve seen this design a lot on Instagram and people always tag it as a butterfly design but my eyes see them as flower design. So I decided to try it out for myself =]

After taking a few minutes to analyse my nails after it dried. I still see a flower instead of butterfly wings. I compared it to the other designs and realised I missed out a line =p oops!
Never mind, I guess I made it look more like a flower now…

Leopard Print & Gold Gems

So I did nail art on one hand last night, I looked down at my other hand and it looked so plain. I had to do something to it! I’m right handed so I do all my nail art on my left hand. I find it harder to do nail art on my right hand as my left hand is always shaky so I tend to do easy and simple designs like dots and leopard print. That’s exactly what I did =]

Again I used a matte dark red by Barry M but I think gloss looks better. Hmmm that’s just my opinion. I might do a matte nail design one of these days =] I used a gold color I got in a pack of nail polishes and added some gold gems to match my left hand a bit =p

Sophisticated but Fun Nails

Hey guys….
So I’m back home for the weekend and got all my nail tools with me =D
I’m knackered from this week at work but that wouldn’t stop me from doing any nail art =p

In my last post I mentioned buying different shades of blue nail polishes. I absolutely love this shade of blue so decided to use it again!
This time I added a caramel matte polish by BarryM. I decided to add a top gloss coat to it though because I thought it looked better. Also added a few gold gems to make the nails stand out a bit.

I’m happy with the outcome of this nail design and hope you guys like it too! =]

Shades of Blue

Hey guys…
I haven’t done any nail art recently as I’m not at home and all my tools are there =[
But I couldn’t resist and had to buy a couple nail polishes today. I saw a pack of 4 different blue shades of nail polishes in Primark today and thought hmmm this must join my collection =p it was only £2 so even better!

I had to file down my nails a bit as they were getting a bit too out of shape. I tried to do it square but it’s in between square and squoval at the mo… Never mind =]
I love these 2 shades of blue and had to try both out.

Hey guys this is just a quick post of the nail design I just finished doing. Still in a valentines mood so decided to do valentines nails but staying away for the traditional red and pink colors… Well just a little pink =]

King & Queen Nails

Hey guys, before I post my latest nail design…

I’m gonna have a little vent about wordpress.  Before this post, I wrote about my natural nails and what I’m using to look after it. (Oh by the way, I have my natural nails back =o)…Wordpress is not letting me upload my post =[ this message comes up
” error ocurred cannot serialize null”
It’s happened twice now, I think it may have something to do with my tablet becuase I can still upload on my PC
Anyone else having this problem on their tablet?

If you guys can help me figure this out I’d appriciate it as it took me ages to write that post and I would like to share it with you guys =]

I used a pink and purple NYC nail polish along with a lilac L.A Colors nail polish. I then added some king and queen crown nail stickers. I kept the design simple but stylish =]

Valentine Nails

Hey guys… seeing as Valentine’s day is coming up (that dreaded day or wonderful day depending on how you feel about it =/ ) well, I decided to do a couple of Valentine’s designs.

With the first design, I decided to combine stripes and dots having pink as the primary color. I guess pink is a Valentine’s color…?
But then I thought I’d do another design using red as the primary color this time as I know red is definitely a Valentine’s color. Although I guess you could use any color really…hmmm gives me an idea =]
(By the way, please excuse my thumb, it’s a little bit dry, I know)
I had some fimo canes laying around which I bought last year. Never really used them before so decided to put them to good use =p
